Elie Wiesel was born in Sighet, Romania in 1928. He was the son of
Shlomo and Sarah Feig a respected family in the community. Elie was the only
son in the family. Elie’s father ran a grocery store. During the 1940s, the
Germans began to build camps to torcher German Jews. In the 1940s, Germany
pretended to protect Romania. German SS Eichmann conquered Jewish countries by
now. He was ordered to kill 600,000 Jews in six weeks or less.
